Anne Grotefeld

NBC Sports Group, VP, Games Event and IP Management, NBC Olympics

Anne Grotefeld is the VP of games event and IP management, NBC Olympics for the NBC Sports Group. She oversees Olympic broadcasting logistics for NBC Sports Groups’ talent and crew. A 17-year NBC veteran, Grotefeld is responsible for NBC Olympics’ operational aspects including accommodations, catering, air transportation, accreditation, tickets, hair and make-up, studio and venue wardrobe, and merchandising.

On an ongoing basis, Grotefeld strategically plans and budgets for upcoming Games, while negotiating contracts for accommodations, suppliers, catering, and transportation. She works closely with the International Olympic Committee, United States Olympic Committee, and local organizing committees for the Olympic Games. Grotefeld manages five full-time staff, along with over 20 seasonal project managers.

In addition to her role in games event management, Grotefield oversees the use of NBC’s Olympic logo in all forms across NBCUniversal. She also oversees NBC's Sports and Olympic logo merchandise program, which includes oversight of the NBC Sports Store and all sales to affiliates, NBCUniversal employees, sponsors, and partners.

Prior to joining NBC Olympics in 2001, Grotefeld served as the VP of events and entertainment for the National Hockey League. At the NHL, she managed all aspects of NHL events, from negotiations and staffing to the league-wide brand identity.

Grotefeld is an active member of NBC Sports Group’s Women’s Network and Women in Cable Television (WICT). A graduate of Indiana University, Grotefeld now resides in Connecticut with her family.
