Carol Boyle

ESPN, Senior Creative Director, Creative and Studio Direction

In September of 2013, Carol Boyle was named senior creative director of concept design at ESPN, a division of Creative and Studio Direction. In her role, Boyle oversees and forecasts the creation and execution of multiple on-air animation and informational graphic projects. Her team consists of creative directors, concept designers, and art directors. Boyle also heads up both the Los Angeles and New York creative design groups. In her role, she works very closely with multiple ESPN departments to plan, strategize, and maintain the network’s numerous brands across all platforms.

Throughout Boyle’s 23 years at ESPN, she has received four Emmys for her creative work on Sportscenter. In addition, she has received four Broadcast Designer Association awards and a New York Festival’s Gold World Medal for her art direction on Sportscenter’s My Wish campaign. Boyle’s career highlight was her role as senior creative director and project manager on the 2014 SportsCenter graphics package and DC2 studio launch.

Boyle is an active member of WICT and an alumnus of the WICT Rising Leaders and Mentoring programs. She is also a member of the Promax Broadcast Designer Association and SVG.
