Charlie Ebersol

AAF, Co-Founder and CEO

Charlie Ebersol is co-founder and CEO of The Alliance of American Football, the eight-team professional football league that begins play in February 2019. Ebersol and The Alliance team, including co-founder Bill Polian, have assembled a vibrant property even before the league’s first snap. Part of what makes The Alliance intriguing is the mission to deliver quality football first and foremost, and to simultaneously couple the game with technology in ways that change how fans consume and interact with sports and television. The AAF blueprint includes the development of streaming video systems, data, mobile, desktop, and OTT apps that integrate the best of TV with the best of the internet.

Ebersol, also an executive producer and director, in 2011 co-founded The Hochberg-Ebersol Company, THE, with Justin Hochberg and Mike Lanigan (later changing the name to “The Company,” following Hochberg’s departure). Ebersol also is co-creator and executive producer of NFL Characters Unite, a yearly television special on USA Network, and The Profit on CNBC. Further credits include: Strike Team (ESPN Films), "This Was the XFL" (ESPN 30 for 30), Gold Medal Families (Lifetime), The Moment (USA), Rooster and Butch (A&E), and the documentaries Don’t Look Down and Ithuteng: Never Stop LearningIn 2014, The Company announced a production and finance partnership with Israeli production house Dori Media.
